The sectors that had been the most affected in November were the farming sector, the services sector, the industry, and the construction. From these four, in Spain, the sector that struggled the most was the construction one. 18.496 people were unemployed in this sector. However, in Euskadi, the sector with the most unemployed was the industry sector with 7.002 people unemployed.
Elena Perez Barredo, the vice councilor of employment, said that the market of employment has shown evidence of resistance but that it doesn't hide the deep damage that has left in the weakness of the hiring quality and in some sectors, especially, on the hostelry. “The impact on employment has been minor than we expected, the economy is currently demonstrating a superior capacity of resistance than the forecast of March predicted”, added Perez.
